Hi Lefty,
I've used your mod previously (a few years ago) on a phpNuke website with integrated BB2Nuke forums & am trying to include it in my new phpNuke forums (BB2Nuke) but I keep getting the following error.

Code: Select all
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not query site announcement information

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1146 Table 'gazanimal1.announcement_centre' doesn't exist

SELECT * FROM announcement_centre

Line : 227
File : common.php

I've double & triple checked the code & it's all there but I'm wondering if there is an issue with the SQL code.

All my tables in my database begin with "nuke" prefix so I tried the following:

Code: Select all
CREATE TABLE `nuke_announcement_centre` (
  `announcement_desc` varchar(255) NOT NULL default '',
  `announcement_value` text NOT NULL,
  PRIMARY KEY  (`announcement_desc`));

INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_text', 'Change your announcements via your admin panel.   :) ');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_status', '1');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_access', '1');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_guest_text', 'Change your guest announcements via your admin panel.   :) ');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_guest_status', '1');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_text_draft', 'Preview in the ACP   :) ');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_mod_version', 'v1.2.3');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_forum_id', '');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_topic_id', '');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_forum_topic_first_latest', '1');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_title', 'Site Announcements');
INSERT INTO nuke_announcement_centre (announcement_desc, announcement_value) VALUES('announcement_guest_title', 'Site Announcements');

Even doing that & creating the tables it still errors with the same error above, saying it's can't find gazanimal1.announcement_centre even though gazanimal1 is not the prefix but the actual database name.

Here's the config.php file from my website:

Code: Select all
$dbhost = '************************';
$dbuname = '****************';
$dbpass = '***********';
$dbname = 'gazanimal1';
$prefix = 'nuke';
$user_prefix = 'nuke';
$dbtype = 'MySQL';
$sitekey = '*******************************************';
$gfx_chk = 7;
$subscription_url = '';
$admin_file = 'admin';
$tipath = 'images/topics/';
$display_errors = false;  /

As you can see the "prefix" is nuke but creating tables with that prefix still does not work.

I appreciate I'm trying to get your mod to work with BB2Nuke & not what was originally intended for PHPBB2 but some mods I've been able to get working & I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

Just asking. Will v 123 work with phpbb302? I just looked at the install. No XML on this one (making it hard to figure) and no language/lang_english/lang_admin.php. I really wanted to use this. Do you plan on any updates to this?
Thanks

hi, you could try nukeannouncement_centre instead of nuke_announcement_centre as the prefix does not say nuke_ but just nuke
